Peter Sweatman, the CEO of Climate Strategy, combines deep experiences in the energy, financial, business, climate and low carbon technologies sectors. He studied engineering at the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom) and for the last 30 years he has held senior positions within JP Morgan, Climate Strategy, Climate Change Capital, and Energy Efficiency Capital Advisors managing his operations in Spain, Portugal and Latin America.

During the last 17 years, Peter has maintained an active program of participation in conferences and press interviews in matters related to Clean Energy, Energy Efficiency, Climate Change and Carbon Markets. Peter is a founding advisor to the Climate Bonds Initiative, an active member of the Ashoka Support Network, a member of the Network for Sustainable Financial Markets, advisor to the Climate Lab, and European advisor for Braemar Energy Ventures. In addition, Peter is Rapporteur for the EU Commission and UNEP FI’s EEFIG and the G20’s EEFTG.
